Felicare Melt In Mouth Tablets
- FELICARE is a feed supplement derived from chicken egg yolk following hyperimmunization of layer hens using appropriate antigen, it is enriched molecules of immunity that are effective against the common strains of Feline panleukopenia Virus. Including the Felicare MMT into the routine treatment protocols significantly increases the positive clinical outcomes. Sudden onset and faster resolution of clinical signs makes it an attractive option to the pet practitioners.
Composition:
- Each MMT contains Purified globular protein fraction of chicken egg yolk q.s.
- Excipients q.s.
Recommendations:
- 1-2 Tablets/day; Administer 1 tablet in morning and one tablet in evening. The tablet is recommended for a minimum period of 5-7 days or till severity of clinical symptoms subsides.
Clinical symptoms:
- Most of the affected cats show no signs of infection. Severe infection may cause death with little or no warning. Short-term infection causes fever, depression, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhoea and extreme dehydration. Electrolyte imbalances, low blood sugar, low levels of protein in the blood, anaemia, and secondary infections often develop in severely affected cats.
Mode of action:
- Antibodies being the active ingredient of the tablet remain protected from acid induced and proteolytic enzymes mediated damages. Antibodies reach the small intestine affected by Feline Panleukopenia Virus to mediate a local action resulting in virus clearance and mitigation of the severity of disease.
Benefits:
- Faster resolution of clinical signs such as lack of appetite, vomiting and diarrhoea.
Directions for use:
- Place the MMT into the cat’s mouth and keep the mouth closed for a sufficient amount of time (in seconds) which is to ensure tablet dispersion and be swallowed. The MMT disintegrates quickly upon contact with saliva in cat’s mouth.
Side effects:
- Felicare tablet is generally well tolerated by cats of all age groups.
Storage:
- Room temperature is ideal for both transportation and storage in airtight containers. Do not freeze.
